As per the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), one of the most effective ways to limit the spread of the Corona virus is to carry out as much client care as possible via virtual means, limiting the time spent face-to-face. In alignment with CASLPO and with current Public Health guidelines across the province of Ontario, Child Development Programs has implemented virtual assessment and treatment services for children and families. In an effort to slow the transmission of COVID-19 across our community, and protect our clients and staff, Child Development Programs will continue to offer virtual service wherever/whenever possible while monitoring for updated Public Health guidance.
Your child may enjoy watching and listening to this fun and simple Powerpoint song/book (Itsy Bitsy Spider). You might use this to develop your child’s attention span or to help him/her to indicate “more”. For example, your child could look at you, use a gesture, point to a picture, or tap a switch each time the singing stops. Remember to have fun!
